Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we reflect on a decade of uncompromising commitment and service at the Central Ohio Worker Center, we find ourselves not only celebrating our successes but also renewing our commitment to our mission. We are reaching out to you today to ask for your solidarity and sustaining contributions.

The Worker Center plays a fundamental role in educating workers about their rights and empowering them to protect themselves from abuses and exploitation in the workplace. To date in 2024, we’ve given a robust Know Your Rights In the Workplace training to 380 workers and assisted more than 160 people with workplace rights violations. Every day, workers are exploited and many times do not know they have rights or where to go to enforce them. Fear keeps them silent against injustices. At the Worker Center, we are committed to empowering workers through education, advocacy, and resources. We equip them with the knowledge they need to feel confident and stand up for their rights and for their coworkers.

Education is a powerful and invaluable tool that prepares workers to face these ever-increasing challenges head-on. It can profoundly change lives, particularly for those who feel powerless, especially with the anti-immigrant sentiments and policies we are facing. Immigrant workers will increasingly continue to be harassed and attacked with displacement and family separation.

A lot has changed in 10 years, but the support of our community still keeps us strong. Therefore, your kind contributions will help us continue with our mission of raising awareness, preparing for, and hopefully preventing these abusive and urgent issues, enabling us to continue organizing, mobilizing, and building more equitable and safer communities.

Together, we can ensure that the rights of every worker in Central Ohio are respected and that they are treated with the dignity every human being deserves.

Thank you for your support.

In solidarity,

Claudia
