Who we are
The Central Ohio Worker Center is a non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and advocates for and with low-wage and immigrant workers in Central Ohio.

What you’ll do
● Work collaboratively with our small, supportive staff and board.
● Volunteer management: Recruit, coordinate, and be primary contact for volunteers and members.
● Event management: Plan, track, and coordinate COWC events including wage theft clinics, our annual May Day celebration, Know Your Rights in the Workplace training, and other events that advance our goals and mission.
● Communications: Manage our social media accounts, website, blog and email list.
● Administrative: Bookkeeping, grant reporting, and office tasks.

Qualifications
● Experience in organizing with labor unions, or other organizations committed to economic justice.
● Experience with or knowledge of communication strategies.
● Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong organizational and self-management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and attend to detail.
● Excellent listening, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

● Reports to the Director of Programs
● Based in Franklin County, Ohio.

Benefits
● Hybrid work schedule, some in person events and meetings in Central Ohio.
● $45,000 minimum; salary dependent upon experience and qualifications
● Fringe benefit package to include: health, dental, vision, and retirement.
